Jerry D. Blackwell, Director and President of the Corporation, is a professional geologist who since 1970 has worked continuously in the mining exploration industry. Since 1993 Mr. Blackwell’s principal occupation has been serving as President of the Corporation. Prior to his appointment with the Corporation, Mr. Blackwell was self-employed as a consulting geologist, and prior to that was a project geologist with Cominco Ltd. Mr. Blackwell also serves as advisor to Bayswater Uranium Corp., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Kerry M. Spong, Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, graduated in 1978 and has maintained an accounting consultancy in Vancouver since 1994. Mr. Spong is Chief Financial Officer of Riverstone Resources Inc. and Canasil Resources Inc. which are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Lyle R. Hepburn, Director, Lyle has been practicing business and commercial law for nearly 40 years. His Toronto based practice is focused primarily on advising and representing public mineral exploration and mining companies. Lyle serves as a director of First Nickel Inc. a nickel producing company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Legend Gold Corp. a gold exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. He is also Corporate Secretary of Harry Winston Diamond Corporation, a diamond producing and luxury goods company listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges.
Kenneth D. Booth, Director, was appointed as a Director of the Corporation on April 10, 2000. Mr. Booth has been the President of Highwood Advisory Services Inc., a financial consulting firm, since February 1999. Previously Mr. Booth was a Vice-President, Investment Banking with RBC Dominion Securities Inc. in Toronto and Vancouver, specializing in corporate finance for the mining industry and a member of the Mining Group of Nesbitt Burns Inc. Mr. Booth lives in West Vancouver, B.C. and holds an M.B.A. from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Carleton University. Mr. Booth is a Director of El Tigre Silver Corp. and Invenio Resources Corp. both companies are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Edmund T. Kimura, Director, is a professional geologist who has over 40 years of experience in exploration and in the mining industry. Since retiring in 1997 Mr. Kimura has served as an independent consulting geologist. From 1964 to 1997, Mr. Kimura served in a number of senior positions with Placer Dome Inc. and its affiliates, including Canadian Exploration Manager (1992-1997), Western Exploration Management (1987-1992), Seabee Underground Program Project Manager (1987), Senior Exploration Geologist (1981-1986) and Chief Geologist of the Endako Mines Division (1964-1981). Mr. Kimura lives in Vancouver, B.C. and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in geology and physics from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Kimura is a director of Eastfield Resources Ltd. and Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. These companies are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Victor A. Tanaka, Director, was appointed to the Board of Directors on March 18, 2005. Mr. Tanaka is a career geologist with considerable experience in exploration and development. Mr. Tanaka is an Officer and Director of Bayswater Uranium Corporation. Mr. Tanaka is also a director of each of Fjordland Exploration Inc., Impact Silver Corp., Westhaven Ventures Inc., and Serengeti Resources Inc., all companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
